The Gotthardt Cello is a handmade European production instrument with a warm, resonant sound. Available in full size only, it is crafted from fully carved European solid woods air-dried for 5 to 10 years, with a solid spruce top, figured maple back and sides, and inlaid purfling.
A full ebony fingerboard and fittings complement the composite fine-tuner tailpiece with a Kevlar tailgut. The cello is strung with braided steel core strings, and final assembly and adjustments are completed in the United States.
The Gotthardt Cello includes a high-grade, fully lined octagonal bow and a lightweight composite hardshell case, providing a complete outfit for playing and transport.
