Artista Violin Series

The Artista Violin Series features individually handcrafted, full-size European violins, each with its own appearance and tonal voice. From the AV1 through the AV10, the collection offers musicians a range of instruments with increasing refinement in materials, craftsmanship, fit, and finish.

The AV1 begins with European woods air-dried for approximately 10 years. As the series progresses, select models incorporate older tonewoods, with the AV10 featuring woods aged for over 100 years. Each violin is crafted from fully carved solid European woods, including figured maple, and finished with inlaid purfling, a full ebony fingerboard and fittings, and a composite fine-tuner tailpiece with a Kevlar tailgut.

A hand-applied varnish and distinctive antiquing process give Artista violins their traditional character. Technical work, final assembly, and adjustments are completed in the United States to bring out the individual qualities of each instrument.
